To celebrate it’s 50th birthday it’s based on the Aventador LP700-4 and runs with the same V12 6.5 litre engine and given a little tweaking now produces 740bhp and can get up to 220mph, like it or not, it’s a supercar.

As quoted from the Lamborghini website
Built in Italy. Just arrived from the future. Lamborghini has a history of revolutionary thinking. Whether in terms of design, like the iconic scissor doors. Or in terms of technology such as the V12 engine and carbon-fiber technology. Going far beyond what was previously thought possible is just as much a part of our brand as our core values: uncompromising, extreme, Italian.
These values are the reason why every single Lamborghini is breathtakingly unique. The Aventador LP700-4 represents a whole new level of performance, sets new benchmarks in the super sports car segment, and provides a glimpse into the future. It’s a car that’s already achieved legendary status.
A key aspect of our design philosophy demands that every Lamborghini must be instantly recognizable as such.
The Aventador LP700-4 with its uncompromisingly crisp contours is the essence of our brand, poured into an extreme, awe-inspiring look – eternally different, unmistakably Lamborghini. For more than 40 years, the history of Lamborghini has also been the history of legendary V12 engines. Handcrafted in Sant’Agata Bolognese, naturally balanced and installed in a central, longitudinal position, they relentlessly power the Lamborghini legend and represent the driving force behind our cars and our brand.
